The Lord Inhabits Our Praise

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8 (KJV)

Let Us Think How Great His Wonderful Love is!

You can give without loving, but you can't LOVE without GIVING!

Jesus Christ; Our Advocate!

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation of our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

1 John 2:1-2

The New King James Version

King David cried "I have sinned against You and You alone!" ( Psalm 51:4)
When we sin any sin, it is against GOD. Jesus Christ is our advocate. We ask Him to forgive us and He says He forgives us of all unrighteousness.

Many times we are called to stand before man to ask forgiveness and I tell you the truth.....it is far better to stand before a Holy, Just, Loving, and Forgiving God than before a group of Self-righteous, unjust, hypocritical, stiff-necked, holier-than-thou, beam-in-his-own-eye, unloving, unforgiving, man who sets himself up as JUDGE and JURY!!!
God spare us from this kind of judge!
Is there ANY among you without sin? Let HIM cast the first stone!
We have an advocate with the Father, that is, Jesus Christ!

Victory Prayer,
Abba Father,
Let us kneel before Your throne and seek justice from Your mercy, love, grace, and patience. Let us be spared of the untoward judgment of man and his self-righteousness. Let us be humble and repentant before You, oh God.....the One who loves, forgives, and is filled with compassion, mercy, and undying, unconditional love!
In Jesus' Name, I pray. Thank You, my Father!

We Can Change the Soil

Isn't it just the way scripture said it will be!!?

Today our sermon was about the parable of the sower, and although I'm usually a KJV person, the pastor used the Amplified version for this message and it seems to fit in with todays society....the distractions of the AGE........the Age of technology, for one:

Mark 4:19-
Then the cares and anxieties of the world and distractions of the age, and the pleasure and delight and false glamour and deceitfulness of riches, and the craving and passionate desire for other things creep in and choke and suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless.
The word 'creep' in was key, because many false religions have 'crept' into our very Body and have assimilated, trying to woo away Christ's children and we can NOT be deceived by these false teachings. Another key point was "the distractions of the Age" I immdeiately thought of those compulsive technological people...you know, those who think a cell phone with all the 'aps' is part of the human body!
Nowadays most people simply can't seem to function without their access to Facebook, Twitter, My Space, e-mail, and every kind of "Ap" you can think of.
How do they ever get their work done? I've honestly been with someone who literally sat at lunch and texted for a solid 45 minutes and would speak to me on occasion between sending and receiving!
It's about the RUDEST thing one can do to another person, yet it seems that it's like a huge cancer in our society seeping into the family, the church, work-places, and relationships.
I suppose when you've spent all your life trying to build relationships and bridge broken ones, it just seems that today you're the one 'out-of-place' and if you don't sit there and text to someone else while your lunch companion is texting....you're left alone to be your own entertainment.....that is unless you're highly entertained by watching someone push buttons at lightening speed and before you can say "jack rabbit" they have a response!
Not me.....as you can tell by my blog.....I love to talk! I never liked going to lunch alone.
Oh, back to my story:
It is amazing to me how we are so involved in this love affair with little cell phones that have more applications available to us than we could use in a lifetime. Each time a new idea comes out and becomes available........it doesn't matter the cost-not in money, time, life, or anything else.....we must have it added to our huge repertoire of cell phone junk. We can't sleep at night because our cell immediately advises us that SOMEONE has posted on Face book!
Carry on a complete uninterrupted conversation.....what? Are you JOKING!? (You must be)
Sleep a full night without checking your cell to see if you MISSED something....why the dog- gone thing hasn't signalled in five minutes.....did the Rapture occur and you missed it?
Okay......maybe this message led me to a 'vent' session on my blog......what can I say? I can tell you this: When I worked as a Case Manager (Registered Nurse), I took my "beeper" that's the thing we all had before the i-phones and aps came along....ancient huh?......anyway, I took my beeper on week-ends, vacations, I worked with two nurses talking in my ear, a telephone (you know the kind houses and hospitals use sometimes), two beepers and me on the telephone....ALL at once, trying to communicate with me while the copy machine was letting me know my papers were ready and the fax machine indicated my fax had gone through......and a meeting was being called, patient in room number 205 needed to see me, and, and, and.......and after eight years of Case Management.......I STOPPED taking my 'beeper' everywhere! When my week-end came up, I took my time.......I got back into church and I never looked back!
I got my eyes on Jesus and now I don't even want to carry a cell-let alone five- hundred 'aps'
Life has enough distractions without us adding to them.
We need to do what Pastor John said today......."MAN-UP!" and "WOMAN-UP!", gird up your loins, there is a war going on around you....how will we ever bear Fruit for the Kingdom of God, if we can't get off the phone or away from the games, computers, television, and all the other Distractions of the Age of Technology and the Age of Tolerance, and all that tries to come between us and our Father to take away the joy of knowing Him better? Have all these distractions become a replacement for God's Word? For Prayer time? For worship time? Alone time with God? Are these distractions the IDOLS of the Age?
I enjoyed this message today because I know how badly we need to keep our focus on Him. I am the first to realize how amazing our technologies are today, but do we have to make them such a permanent part of our lives that they seem like they are literally glued to the body?
Victory Prayer:
Father,
Thank You so much for the knowledge given to us by You. I pray that we will always use discernment and wisdom, sprinkled with discretion and common sense when we use this technology. Show us how, Lord, to make our focus stayed on You. Guide us as we develop character and integrity. Show us what distractions we need to remove! Let us remember that You are dwelling within and Your Holy Spirit is our constant companion, and that anything and everything that we place before YOU is an idol! Lord, help us to remember that technology can not replace human contact and value......we never know when our last breath will take place.....so I pray that when someone needs us, we are not put on hold during a text message!

My Health To Better Living

The Last of our 4-H Pledge is Health:

Proverbs 16:24

Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

Proverbs 4:20-22
My son attend to my words; incline thine ear to my sayings. let them not depart from thine eyes, keep them in the midst of thy heart. For they are life to those that find them and health to all their flesh.

Jeremiah 33:6

Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

1 Corinthians 6:19

1 Corinthians 12:27

Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Proverbs 23:21

For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

Proverbs 12:18

There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

Genesis 39:3

And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

3 John 1:2

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in HEALTH, even as thy soul prospereth.

John 10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Victory Prayer:

Father,
The idea of this article on the 4-H Pledges is that we may think clearly in our head, intentionally devote our minds to You, and fill our thoughts with good and wonderful, encouraging teachings from Your WORD.
That we may give our hearts to You alone, completely and serve and worship only You. That our hands will do the work you have called us to......not what we think is Your will, but to serve You by knowing that will and make ours aligned with and the same as Yours. That our bodies will be used in a wise and HEALTHY manner; as we ARE the Temple of Your Holy Spirit, if we are one of Yours.
Give us a desire to make our pledges to serve You and others as You have commanded:

Luke 10:27

... Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy HEART, and with all thy soul, and with all thy STRENGTH, and with all thy MIND; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Teach us Lord, to surrender our Head, Heart, Hands, and Health to YOU!
Thank You, Abba!

I Pledge My Hands

I Pledge My Hands to Better Service:

Ecclesiastes 10:18

By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.

Proverbs 14:1

Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her Hands!

Ephesians 4:28

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Psalm 119:48

My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

Psalm 134:2

Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.

Psalm 63:4

Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

Whatever we do, whether it is work, play, or worship....our hands are made for rejoicing, praising, and thanksgiving to our Creator God! Let us use our hands for glorifying God!

We can easily scream and shout at a football game, soccer game or la Cross.....but when it comes time to worship God, we become silent, stiff, and as un-approachable as a rattle snake.

Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord! Praise ye the Lord!! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance. Praise Him with the song, harp, and tambourine......."I would that men everywhere lift up Holy Hands....

I Timothy 2:8
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
God gave us hands for more than work and play....He gave us hands to worship HIM.....Let us give the King of Kings and Lord of Lords His due Glory!

Victory Prayer:

Abba Father,
We lift up Holy Hands to Glorify YOU! You are Holy God. We ARE the Body! Let us dedicate our Head, Heart, Hands and Health to You alone!
Thank You, Father in the Name of Jesus, our Messiah!

I Pledge My Heart To Greater Loyalty

HEART:the center of the total personality, especially with reference to intuition, feeling, or emotion:
 In your heart you know.......

God has written His law upon our hearts, in our minds, and He tells us clearly in a thousand ways that IF we love Him and our HEARTS are filled with that love FOR HIM, we will follow Him, seek Him, seek to obey, listen for His still small voice to direct us day-by-day, and moment-by-moment. We don't have to wonder for long which way to go! Isaiah 30:21 tells us:
'and thine ears shall hear a WORD behind thee, saying, 'this is the WAY, walk ye in it, when you turn to the right hand, or when you turn to the left hand.'"

Mark 12:30

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy HEART, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

1 Samuel 12:24

Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your HEART: for consider how great things HE hath done for you.

Job 33:3

My words shall be of the uprightness of my HEART: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.

John 14:15

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

 Hebrews 10:16
This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their HEARTS, and in their MINDS will I write them;

Not only is the human heart an amazing organ, pumping our blood throughout our body every day, it is the seat of emotion, feelings, intuition, and most of all: God's law!

We must keep our Head and Heart filled with good and positive information; IF there be anything good THINK on these things!

Philippians 4:8Ephesians 4:32

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

If you have an offense against ANYONE in your HEART- FORGIVE and ask them to FORGIVE you!

Have you ever wondered why your walk with God may be at a standstill? Search your HEART for unforgiveness and holding an offense against someone. That could be why you aren't growing and also why the other person isn't growing in Christ!

Jesus said to forgive as He has forgiven you! (That is completely and without grudging)

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Victory Prayer:

Abba Father,
I ask in Jesus' name to reveal all offenses that I am holding against another, that I may repent of it and forgive. Forgive me of all offenses I have committed against another, either known or unknown. Make my HEART clean so that I may represent Christ in the true light. I do not want to grieve Your Holy Spirit. I thank You, Father, for the truth You have shown me in Your Word.
In Jesus' Name I pray.
Amen!
