Blogging for Christ, Lost Souls, and Encouragement

I have four blogs....why? Simple. I am hoping and praying that even one person may come across them and seek to know God.....as King Solomon says in Ecclesiastes-it is the whole duty of mankind......it's not a burdensome 'duty' but the ONLY Way to live, if you think about eternity with Christ.
In view of this-please feel free to share the blog sites and this post with everyone and maybe they'll share too. One can hope.

Thank you so much for assisting in spreading the Word.

How many times, and how many of us have asked this question? Perhaps all have asked, and many are still asking.
We all have a purpose on earth. We all have varying purposes, some of us even more than one, yet we also ALL have the same purpose!

We are all created by a Loving God. He created us for His own purpose….to glorify Himself. He is the Creator! He could have required that we love Him. He could have forced us to obey Him….but He did NOT choose that for us.
He chose to give us free will.
Yet, we were created to Worship Him, Glorify Him, Know Him, Obey Him, and to Love Him.

King Solomon tells us plainly:

"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man." (Ecclesiastes 12:13)

Also, God Himself tells us:

He hath shown thee, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? (Micah 6:8)

And in the New Testament Jesus says:

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." Amen.
‘For in HIM we live and move and have our being.’ (Acts 17:29)

So, in summary of all--we were all created for the SAME purpose: To KNOW GOD, To Love Him, to Fear Him, to Honor Him, to Glorify Him, to Obey Him.

Everything He does, or tells us to do is for OUR benefit and HIS glory!

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:17)

Guardian Angels-Are They Real?

We are clearly told to not worship angels. We worship only God, the Father, through Christ, the Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit-which is given to all true believers in Christ as the Son of God.
But are there really angels watching over us? Yes. Yes, there are. According to the following scriptures, we really do have angels in an unseen realm, surrounding us.

Not only does God send angels to watch over His people, but God, Himself surrounds us with His Presence. He is also within us as we become believers in Christ-as the Holy Spirit indwells us!

Psalm 34:7
The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them.

Daniel 3:28
Nebuchadnezzar responded and said, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent His angel and delivered His servants who put their trust in Him, violating the king's command, and yielded up their bodies so as not to serve or worship any god except their own God.

Daniel 6:22
"My God sent His angel and shut the lions' mouths and they have not harmed me, inasmuch as I was found innocent before Him; and also toward you, O king, I have committed no crime."

Matthew 18:10
"See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

Acts 27:23-24
"For this very night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood before me, saying, 'Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar; and behold, God has granted you all those who are sailing with you.'

Hebrews 1:14
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?

Throughout the Bible, there are many scriptures about angels. IF you read carefully, and if you are reading through the power of the Holy Spirit, you may be able to discern when it is an angel, or when it's Christ. Usually it will say 'an angel of the Lord' or "The Angel of the LORD."

If it is an angel, the angel will say, "Do not worship me." (Paraphrased) but if it is Christ, He will say, "take off your shoes, you are on holy ground." (Paraphrased)

So, we can usually discern between an angel, which is NOT to be worshipped, and Christ, Whom we worship.

Sowing the Word

The parable of the seed and sower in the New Testament-Book of Mark (Chapter 4) is all about the seed of God's Word. It's the gospel of salvation. The seed is God's Word. The sower is the believer in Christ.

Many modern day pastors, preaching the "prosperity" gospel-which is NO GOSPEL at all-- often use this chapter to entice people to give to their huge organizations.
We have to study God's WORD and Know His Word, so that we can discern truth.

II Timothy 2:15 clearly tells us to study and rightly divide-meaning to understand the Word. If we know God's Word, we won't be deceived by unscrupulous people who twist the truth to their own greed and agenda. Those people will answer to God for their deeds.

The Seed I talk about it the seed of Faith, Love, Hope, and the absolute truth about God's love for you. The seed of His Word-that Christ came to earth to give His life for you, to overcome death, and to give you eternal life. The seed is to be planted and grown, as it grows into a strong foundational love and relationship with God, it will spread, new seeds will form and grow…..it's the law of planting and harvesting.

The Bible is filled with many amazing truths. It's never boring……well, maybe Numbers could be-but it's still the inspired Word of God, and should be read!

Just a few thoughts about seed planting-we sow for souls--- NOT for financial gain, power, or fame.
We reap a harvest of souls for the Kingdom of God, for His glory-NOT for our own!

The Word Became Flesh

Genesis 1:1-2
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters

John 1:1-2
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning.

John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Among my favorite scriptures in all of the Bible. It can not be clearer WHO Christ is.
HE is the Son of the Living God. All things were CREATED Through HIM.

Colossians 1:14-16
(These following verses, when woven together, as the entire Bible is written, explains it so clearly!)

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in HIM (CHRIST) all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him.

Plant these seeds in your heart-and think on them!

Salvation In Christ

Only God can save…through His Mercy, Grace, and our Faith in His Son-our Savior. ("You believe in God, believe also in ME." Christ in John 14:1)

Plant the seeds.
Water as often as you, or someone else, can
I may persuade you-but only God can convict you and change your heart.
IF I persuade you-someone else can come along and persuade you differently.
Faith in God is the essential soil needed for a seed to take root. If you are searching for truth-you will find it. Jesus said, "I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life…" Believe on the Lord!

Christ taught the people:
“A farmer went out to sow his seed.  As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.  Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants.  Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown…..Matthew 13:3-8
