Adoption: Exactly what does a blended family look like? Well, of course, it all depends on the ethnic, cultural, religious, and gender, adopted into the family! Simple Yes?
Not if one looks at the church-the Body of the Living God, here on earth.
Why? Because people want to flock together with those with the same likes and dislikes. The rich want to have small group with the rich….the “in-crowd” at church, you know, the pastor and his wife, the worship leaders, the associate pastors, the elders, etc.
Because people want the kind of music they personally like. Because they want a quiet, reserved, worship scenario…..like Grandpa had.
Because they don’t want a band, guitars, cymbals, tambourines, hands held high, and all the smoke and flashing lights.
Because they don’t like the color of those sitting nearby. Because they don’t like to hear about finances. Because they’re upset with Sally Jones.
Because someone hurt their feelings. Because if I can’t hear what I want to hear, then I can’t show up.
Because if Sally doesn’t apologize, then I won’t either! Because I think they’re all hypocrites. Because they don’t acknowledge me. Because the pastor thinks no one knows the Bible but himself.
Because only 10% do all the work and giving.
WHAT would Jesus think? HOW can we all love and relate to one another, live in peace, forgive one another, and show the world what it’s like to walk with our Creator?
Will that ‘friend’ who no longer speaks to me, shun me in heaven? Will that person who called you a racist because you don’t like certain policies, stand on the opposite side of heaven from you? What about that co-worker that thinks you’re not as good as he or she?
Life is filled with pain and sorrow. The Body of Christ was designed for fellowship and love; to strengthen one another. But it’s not being carried out that way, in many churches today, therefore, more and more attempts are made at sensationalizing the worship services……Hollywood for Jesus. What would Jesus think?
We were created to worship God alone above all else, heart, mind, soul, and strength. We were created to develop relationships. We were created for doing the work that God called us to do. If we can see others with the innocent eyes of a child, the eyes of love, trust, and forgiveness, we could live out the Body-the Church- and stand firm against the world, until Christ returns for His church.
What would Jesus think? He would tell us all-just as He already has…..“You will know they are My disciples by their LOVE.” (John 13:35)
Pray for our Body to live in unity, and BE the Church we were meant to be for the glory of our God and our Savior.

PROVERBS 15: A CHAPTER WORTH GOLD
As I read this chapter, I felt it crucial to underscore a ‘few verses,’ as we ALL need the wisdom that comes from the very Breath of God. Yet, as I read, I couldn’t possibly choose one or two well-spoken verses, because each one can radically change one’s perspective-IF taken to heart and put into practice.
1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
2 The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly.
3 The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.
4 The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.
5 A fool spurns a parent’s discipline, but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.
6 The house of the righteous contains great treasure, but the income of the wicked brings ruin.
7 The lips of the wise spread knowledge, but the hearts of fools are not upright.
8 The LORD detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases Him.
9 The LORD detests the way of the wicked, but he loves those who pursue righteousness.
10 Stern discipline awaits anyone who leaves the path; the one who hates correction will die.
11 Death and Destruction lie open before the LORD— how much more do human hearts!
12 Mockers resent correction, so they avoid the wise.
13 A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.
14 The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly.
15 All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.
16 Better a little with the fear of the LORD than great wealth with turmoil.
17 Better a small serving of vegetables with love than a fattened calf with hatred.
18 A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict, but the one who is patient calms a quarrel.
19 The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway.
20 A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish man despises his mother.
21 Folly brings joy to one who has no sense, but whoever has understanding keeps a straight course.
22 Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.
23 A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word!
24 The path of life leads upward for the prudent to keep them from going down to the realm of the dead.
25 The LORD tears down the house of the proud, but he sets the widow’s boundary stones in place.
26 The LORD detests the thoughts of the wicked, but gracious words are pure in his sight.
27 The greedy bring ruin to their households, but the one who hates bribes will live.
28 The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil.
29 The LORD is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.
30 Light in a messenger’s eyes brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.
31 Whoever heeds life-giving correction will be at home among the wise.
32 Those who disregard discipline despise themselves, but the one who heeds correction gains understanding.
33 Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the LORD, and humility comes before honor.
The Holy Bible: Emphasis is mine in all instances.
How amazing life would be, if ONLY we would make it our daily goals, to heed the instructions of King Solomon. He was not perfect, by far, yet as the man who was wisely endowed from God, King Solomon-through the Holy Spirit of God, gave us words to live by.
He failed in his own life by not following his own words. Why? Because there is intelligence and there is common sense. One can be highly intelligent-a gift from God, but if not combined with the common sense to use that intelligence-we may as well be as dumb as a rock.
We must always be mindful of consequences! God will forgive us when we behave foolishly-if we repent, but He never promised we would not have to deal with the consequences of our behavior, choices, decisions, etc.
Sin can be forgiven. Consequences can live on……for the rest of our lives!

My GRACE is Sufficient!
As I sit here beginning to write my Blog, I am in the active process of listening to 99.7 Family Life Radio. How amazing that the two programs I have been listening to this morning are about the very subject I have decided to write about today!
The first was Chuck Swindoll in raising children and the difficulties we encounter and the huge responsibilities. The second (which is still in progress is the story of a Korean Street Child, as she tells her story of being put out in the street as an infant, still believing that her mother loves her, but did what she had to do. The child, now a grown Christian woman, in ministry, tells of being thrown into a building with another little girl, younger than she. She tells of the hatred she felt at being used as a human bait for rats. She tells of being abused by men over and over. She told of a man who finally showed some real affection and she spat on him, at nine years old, she was dead to emotion except for hatred. She was adopted by a Christian couple and began to know God and the love of Christ and began to heal....what a blessing to have a mother and father who can Train up a child in the way he should go!
That leads me into my subject for today. Proverbs 22:6 is an all time favorite verse for most Christian parents. I have that scripture dedicated in a brick at the Melbourne Beach Library for my three grandsons; Ryan, Ian, and Zane.
As I think deeply and intently about the verse, I see so many ways it can be understood. ( I LOVE the living, dynamic, changing, revealing, yet firm ways God makes His every Word come alive!)
Train: the definition of train means to impart knowledge, to instruct by precept and example, to give experience. As we train a tender plant as in a Bonsai tree, so shall it be bent. As we nurture and gently shape and mold it, as we turn it toward the sun (SON), it will turn in that direction. We can not force it, we must be gentle and consistent...if we force it, it will break. This is proven Biblically by the following scripture:
Colossians 3:21 " fathers, (and mothers) provoke not your children to wrath, lest they be discouraged" Some translations say: "Do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged."
Know that your child is wonderfully made by God and trust God that He will be His protector and guide. Know that His grace is sufficient for you and for your child if you leave that child in the Father's hands!
When we train up a child in the way he should go it means more than meets the eye! Train is to teach, to admonish, to gently guide, to discipline with loving admonishment (to express disapproval by gentle and earnest, solicitous manner, to advise and encourage...not DIS-courage).
As we train our child, we know that the fruit we will see may (most likely) not be immediate, nor even may it be in the next few years, but know that if you lovingly, gently, teach and admonish by example of your own life, that child will turn to the one who is loving, forgiving, and provides for him in his times of trouble. If he knows that God is his counselor, his sustenance, his rock of salvation, a very present help, his Lord and savior, he will turn to Him! It is God's promise. It is truth. It is written. God is faithful. The KEY is training by example, with love, gentleness, and loving admonishment.
When the Bible says; "spare the rod, and spoil the child...." I shudder to think of the ways in which this has been made perverse! We knew of a man back in Sheridan, who made a rod about three feet long and about 1/2 " thick to use on his children! They were ages from one year to about three!
In Biblical times, the rod was a gentle probe to guide or nudge in a certain direction. The rod and staff were to comfort not to beat or harm! We need to nudge our children in the right direction. If we see them having a desire we should listen with intention, ask them to pray with us about it and ask God to direct and counsel and then let God's grace be sufficient. In doing this, we teach them to seek God for all decisions and to trust in God's will not our own.
David was a man "after Gods own heart" yet David killed a man, caused another to die at the front lines of battle, committed adultery, killed a giant, killed a lion, and danced naked (he was actually wearing his undergarments) in the streets. The heart of David was toward the Lord, always. His intent was to please God, yet he failed many times to be a perfect example....the consequences of his behavior was to have those same sins repeated by his own sons, and to lose the son of Bathsheba. He paid the price of sin. God is no respecter of persons, if we sin, we pay in this life, as well as being judged or rewarded on judgement day.
We teach our children that there are consequences in this life for our sins and for the choices that we make. When we include God in our decisions, I am a firm believer that He will work things together for good for those that love Him and keep His commandments!
We shall become as little children...."whosoever shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven, and whosoever shall receive one such little child in my name, receiveth me. But whoso shall offend (cause one of these to stumble!) one of these who believe in me, it would be better for him if a millstone were hanged around his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."
The raising of a precious child is a very serious business. It is the greatest responsibility one can ever carry. It absolutely must be done with fervent prayer and with a bridled tongue. It must be carried out with the I Corinthians Love scriptures:
Love suffereth LONG! Love is KIND! Love envieth not! Love vaunteth not ITSELF! Love is not puffed up! Love doth not behave itself UNSEEMLY!
Love seeketh not her own! Love is not easily PROVOKED! Love thinketh no EVIL! Love rejoices not in unrighteousness. Love rejoices in TRUTH!
Love bears all things! Love Believes all things! Love HOPES all things! Love ENDURES all things! Love NEVER FAILS!
To the children: Children OBEY your parents in the LORD, for this is right. Honor thy father and mother. This is a commandment with promise, that it may go well with you! (Eph.6:1-2).
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth.....let all bitterness and wrath, and anger, clamor, and evil speaking or railing (shouting, arguing) be put away from you! Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving, EVEN as GOD forgives you! (Eph. 29-32).
Fathers, provoke NOT your children to wrath! but bring them up in the LOVING nurture of the Lord. (Eph. 6:1)
As Thanksgiving is upon us, I am so thankful to my God and my Savior for my children! I thank my God for my grandchildren and my son-in-law and for my husband. God is so good to us. I have no words to thank Him for His awesome grace, mercy, love, patience, forgiveness, and His constant and wonderful presence. I am so glad, in light of my lack of ability to thank Him enough, that His GRACE is truly sufficient for me!
To my family: I thank you for being a part of my life, for the blessing you have been to me these past years, I thank my God for all of you. I thank my God for my brothers and sisters around the world, for the body of the Living Church of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer! With every blessing, I give HIM praise!
Thanksgiving be Unto our Father!

The Choice Is Yours!
Matthew 6:23
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
You SOW a Thought-You REAP an ACT
You SOW an ACT-You REAP a HABIT
You SOW a HABIT-You REAP a CHARACTER
You SOW a CHARACTER- You REAP a DESTINY!
To quote it simply from King Solomon:
"As a man THINKS-so he IS." (Or so he BECOMES)
Our BELIEF Determines our BEHAVIOR-
Our Behavior Determines our CHARACTER.
People SAY, "That's just the way I am! Love me or not!"
WELL, That's just the way you are, BECAUSE that's just the way you THINK!
Life is a continuous stream of choices; 24/7/365/+
YOUR CHOICES Determine WHO you are and what you DO.
Your CHOICES Begin in YOUR own mind. No One can change it but you.
God's Word says to "captivate EVERY thought to the obedience of Christ" ….not 99% but 100%
Is it easy? No. No, it isn't at first. I've been there. You have to fill your mind with things of God; The good, the pure, the lovely, the things of good report, the right, the things that will glorify Him, and not grieve the Holy Spirit.
Memorize scripture. Study God's Word, Pray without ceasing. Love one another. Forgive one another. Forgive yourself! Live peacefully. Sing Praises.
Worship God in your alone moments, or in a crowd. He hears you above the noise and in the deepest, darkest quiet, and in the storms.
We are increasingly bombarded with opinions, fake news, and political polarization that is so prevalent and inflammatory, that it even splits long-time friends, families, and even churches!
We simply MUST think deeply about the character we want for ourselves-not to become those hateful and angry people that we're being manipulated into becoming.
Choose Blessings. Choose the good! Build a solid, loving, thinking, intelligent, and common-sense, godly character!
Heavenly Father, I pray for those lost and confused. I pray for their repentance and for open eyes, ears, and hearts-that they may be turned from darkness to LIGHT-from the power of Satan into YOUR marvelous Light.
In The Precious Name of Y'shua our Messiah!
I've included a link to connect you with an excellent book that I wrote about two years ago. It can be ordered from your favorite book store, online at Amazon, and other places.
This link will connect you to Amazon, where you can purchase a hard copy or an e-book.
CHOOSE WELL-It's YOUR LIFE and YOUR ETERNITY!

Blogging for Christ, Lost Souls, and Encouragement
I have four blogs....why? Simple. I am hoping and praying that even one person may come across them and seek to know God.....as King Solomon says in Ecclesiastes-it is the whole duty of mankind......it's not a burdensome 'duty' but the ONLY Way to live, if you think about eternity with Christ.
In view of this-please feel free to share the blog sites and this post with everyone and maybe they'll share too. One can hope.

https://seedplantercom.wordpress.com/
Thank you so much for assisting in spreading the Word.
How many times, and how many of us have asked this question? Perhaps all have asked, and many are still asking.
We all have a purpose on earth. We all have varying purposes, some of us even more than one, yet we also ALL have the same purpose!
We are all created by a Loving God. He created us for His own purpose….to glorify Himself. He is the Creator! He could have required that we love Him. He could have forced us to obey Him….but He did NOT choose that for us.
He chose to give us free will.
Yet, we were created to Worship Him, Glorify Him, Know Him, Obey Him, and to Love Him.
King Solomon tells us plainly:
"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man." (Ecclesiastes 12:13)
Also, God Himself tells us:
He hath shown thee, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? (Micah 6:8)
And in the New Testament Jesus says:
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." Amen.
‘For in HIM we live and move and have our being.’ (Acts 17:29)
So, in summary of all--we were all created for the SAME purpose: To KNOW GOD, To Love Him, to Fear Him, to Honor Him, to Glorify Him, to Obey Him.
Everything He does, or tells us to do is for OUR benefit and HIS glory!
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:17)
